[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Samsung Pharmaceutical officially launched the health functional food brand ‘Fitting Lab’ and announced on the 1st that it released ‘COREPACK,’ a product completed with in-house technology from planning to development, production, and quality control.
Samsung Pharmaceutical’s Fitting Lab combines ‘Fitting,’ meaning health management ‘tailored’ to your today, and ‘Lab,’ meaning a ‘laboratory’ tailored to your changing self. It was developed under the concept ‘Don't Worry Be Healthy,’ aiming to provide customized health management to consumers who have increased interest and concerns about health.
The first product of Fitting Lab, COREPACK, meets these consumer needs by allowing intake of all essential daily nutrients in ‘one pack, once a day.’ COREPACK consists of For Men, containing 11 essential nutrients for men, and For Women, containing 14 nutrients for women. It includes nutrients for eye health, blood circulation, antioxidants, vitality, gut health, immunity, and bone health. Octacosanol for endurance enhancement is added for men, and four vitamins that help carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism are added for women.
In particular, all components in COREPACK are designed for easy swallowing by using tablets under 8mm and capsules not exceeding size 1, maximizing efficacy while minimizing size. Additionally, a special coating was applied to make ingestion more comfortable than regular tablets. For nutrients prone to oxidation, the sealing-type liquid capsule (L.CAP™) technology protects the contents from oxygen, ensuring both absorption rate and stability. Furthermore, the company explained that aluminum pouch packaging was used to enhance safety during distribution.
COREPACK can be purchased on the company’s own mall, the Fitting Lab website, as well as on Naver Smart Store, Kakao Store, SSG.com, Gmarket, Coupang, and 11st. Considering consumer accessibility and functionality, it is offered in a two-week supply. Plans are in place to increase unit price and usability through one-month and two-month packages in the future.
Samsung Pharmaceutical is conducting a 1+1 event on its own mall throughout July to coincide with the COREPACK launch, and is aggressively promoting through two YouTube ads titled ‘Start and End’ and ‘Baekmunibulyeoilpack,’ as well as Instagram and blogs. A Samsung Pharmaceutical official said, “We have introduced a health multi-pack that balances nutrition and improves intake convenience tailored to the busy daily lives of modern people whose interest in health is higher than ever. COREPACK, Samsung Pharmaceutical’s first product since establishing the health functional food division in 2016 and continuously investing, will be good news for consumers who have avoided taking health supplements because it was bothersome, they didn’t know what to take, or it was difficult to consume.”
