Samhwa Paint Launches 'Homestar Tile Paint' Exclusively for Tiles

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Samhwa Paint Industrial Co., Ltd. announced on the 1st that it has launched 'Homestar Tile Paint,' a paint specifically for bathroom and other tiles.

Homestar Tile Paint is an eco-friendly product that creates a pleasant and clean space when applied to bathroom or kitchen tiles, where water is frequently used and water stains easily form during the summer. It is odorless, making it safe to use indoors.

It improves on the weakness of existing water-based tile paints, which have poor adhesion and easily peel off when applied to humid bathroom environments or slippery tiles. It is a two-component type, mixed with a base and hardener, water-based, and has superior functionality compared to one-component natural drying types. It offers excellent adhesion on slippery tiles without the need for a separate primer, as well as stain resistance.

Homestar Tile Paint is initially available in white, and various colors will be offered through an automatic color mixing system at nationwide dealerships in the future.

A Samhwa Paint official said, "The new summer product Homestar Tile Paint is a tile-specific paint that maintains a sparkling space with simple application," adding, "We plan to develop and introduce various products to the market in line with the growing interest in home interior design due to COVID-19 and other factors."
