Infraware Subsidiary I&V Games Officially Launches New Game 'Idle Princess' in Taiwan

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Infraware has introduced its most anticipated game of the year, the idle bishoujo RPG (role-playing game) ‘Idle Princess,’ for the first time in Taiwan.

On the 1st, Infraware announced that its subsidiary I&V Games officially launched the new RPG ‘Idle Princess’ in Taiwan at 12 PM (Taiwan time) on the 30th of last month. The publisher is Taiwan’s Poseidon Games.

‘Idle Princess’ is an idle bishoujo RPG developed in-house by I&V Games. Set in another world inhabited by spirits, players collect and nurture unique bishoujo spirits to complete their own battle formation and form a knight order with other companions.

During the closed beta test (CBT) conducted in early May in Taiwan, the game received very encouraging feedback from users, and the number of pre-registrations surpassed 200,000 before the official launch. It is available on Android OS, iOS, and third-party markets.

Lee Haeseok, CEO of I&V Games, said, “Idle Princess is the most anticipated title of the second half of the year, having received evaluations beyond expectations from many users during the CBT. Our main target market is Japan, and starting with the Taiwan launch, we plan sequential launches domestically in the second half of the year and in Japan in the first half of next year.”

Poseidon Games is a major publisher that has successfully serviced numerous popular mobile games in Taiwan. Both I&V Games and Poseidon Games are conducting various promotions and events to target local users, and with the Taiwan launch, services are simultaneously being provided in Hong Kong and Macau.

Meanwhile, IA Group, which acquired Infraware last March, changed the name of its mobile game subsidiary Selvas M to I&V Games (Infraware & Voyage Games) last month to strengthen its gaming business capabilities. I&V Games is a joint venture established by Infraware and Japan’s largest advertising platform company Voyage Group for new game development and publishing. The new name I&V Games sounds similar to “I envy games,” reflecting the company’s passion for the gaming business.
