SK Broadband, No.1 in High-Speed Internet for 6 Consecutive Years... IPTV Also No.1 for 2 Consecutive Years

[Asia Economy Reporter Joselgina] SK Broadband announced on the 1st that it achieved first place for six consecutive years in the ultra-high-speed internet category and for two consecutive years in the IPTV category in the 2020 Korean Standard-Service Quality Index (KS-SQI) organized by the Korean Standards Association.


KS-SQI is an index that quantifies various service items such as intrinsic quality, reliability, and customer support, and is regarded as one of the most trusted customer satisfaction indicators in Korea. SK Broadband stated, "We believe this is the result of continuous efforts to provide differentiated services to customers," and added, "We will continue to fulfill our role as a trend leader in the rapidly changing media industry."


SK Broadband has reflected the vivid voices of customers by conducting pre-experiences of new services, identifying improvement points, and in-depth interviews for various segments such as the actively media-consuming and trend-sensitive '20s', 'kids' parents', the new media consumer group '4050 middle-aged', and 'seniors' through its customer advisory group.


Since the outbreak of COVID-19, SK Broadband has also made efforts to realize corporate social value (SV) by converting most of the educational and learning content, which was previously provided for a fee through B tv's 'Homeschooling Special Zone', to free of charge.


Additionally, following the merger with T-broad in April this year, SK Broadband arranged for regional community information and local economic revitalization content, which had been provided through cable TV, to be available on IPTV as well. Utilizing the SK Broadband network based on optical fiber, the quality of cable TV and gigabit internet services over 500M for cable users was also significantly upgraded.
