Gangseo-gu Operates Job Skill Development Training for Career-Interrupted Women with KC University... Offers Two Courses: Coffee & Barista, Early Childhood Music Instructor
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) has rolled up its sleeves to support career-interrupted women in re-entering society by partnering with KC University (President Lee Gil-hyung).
The district is opening free vocational skill development courses and recruiting participants for career-interrupted women preparing for reemployment and entrepreneurship.
The purpose is to help women who have been away from the workforce for a long time due to marriage, childbirth, and childcare to strengthen their employment capabilities and build confidence by acquiring skills that can be immediately applied in the workplace.
The training will be held at KC University from August 11 to November 26, twice a week for a total of 14 weeks, every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 4:50 PM.
The courses offered are ▲Coffee and Barista and ▲Early Childhood Music Instructor, recruiting 25 participants for the Coffee and Barista course and 20 for the Early Childhood Music Instructor course.
Eligibility is for career-interrupted women residing in Gangseo-gu, with enrollment on a first-come, first-served basis per course. Tuition and material fees are completely free.
Career-interrupted women wishing to participate should bring their ID and visit the KC University Lifelong Education Center (47, Kkachisan-ro 24-gil, Gangseo-gu) to submit an application by July 24, or send a copy of their ID and application form via email to kcupy@kcu.ac.kr.

A district official said, “With the prolonged COVID-19 situation narrowing employment opportunities, steady self-development and thorough preparation are necessary for reemployment. We will pay close attention to ensuring that excellent female talent can enter society through this program.”
