To actively respond to new administrative demands, the Youth Support Team and Local Income Tax Team 2 have been established, and the Resource Circulation Division has been renamed as the 'Cleaning Administration Team' and 'Cleaning Hygiene Team'... The (tentative name) Youth 1st Street Center will be established in August with a 710㎡ facility in the International Building Zone 4, 63-70 Hangangno 3-ga area.
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yongsan-gu (Mayor Seongjanghyun) established two new teams, the Youth Support Team and the Local Income Tax Team 2, on July 1st to mark the 2nd anniversary of the 7th local government administration.
This was done to enhance administrative capabilities and actively respond to new administrative demands.
The Youth Support Team belongs to the Elderly and Youth Division. It consists of one team leader and two team members who carry out projects such as establishing the basic plan for youth policy, operating the Yongsan-gu Youth Policy Advisory Group and Committee, activating autonomous district youth policy governance as part of the youth autonomous budget system, and creating the (tentative name) Youth 1st Street Center.
The Youth Policy Advisory Group is a youth participation organization established under the "Seoul Metropolitan City Yongsan-gu Youth Basic Ordinance," enacted and promulgated in March last year. It aims to promote active social participation and the formation of a self-reliance foundation for the youth generation in the region.
As of the end of June, the advisory group has 215 members and holds monthly meetings in 10 subcommittees including ▲employment ▲startups ▲culture and arts ▲housing ▲youth activity spaces ▲education ▲human rights and labor ▲public relations ▲youth festivals ▲system improvement, proposing various policies to the district office.
The Youth Policy Committee is an institution that deliberates and decides on major agenda related to youth projects. It has 20 members and holds meetings twice a year. The first half of 2020 meeting will be held on July 2nd in the district office's small conference room, where plans to activate youth policy governance for the next year will be discussed.
The (tentative name) Youth 1st Street Center will be established in August in a 710㎡ facility at the International Building 4th District donation facility area at 63-70 Hangangno 3-ga.
The facility will be divided into rest areas (book cafe, healing room, mini cinema), meeting spaces (seminar room, shared kitchen), activity spaces (auditorium, multipurpose room), exhibition spaces (exhibition room), and office spaces (operation office). Interior construction is currently underway.
The district recently held a naming contest for the center. Due to more submissions than expected, the announcement of the selected name was postponed from June 30th to July 17th. Afterwards, the district will recruit a private consignment institution by August 3rd and begin pilot operation of the center at the end of August. The official opening is scheduled for October.
Meanwhile, as the scale of local revenue continues to expand, the district increased the existing single Local Income Tax Team (one team leader, ten team members) to two teams to improve work efficiency. The Local Income Tax Team 2 belongs to the Taxation Division 2.
With this new team establishment, the existing organization of 6 bureaus, 2 deputy directors, 31 divisions, and 135 teams slightly increased to 6 bureaus, 2 deputy directors, 31 divisions, and 137 teams.
Additionally, the district renamed the Taxation Division 2's "License Plate Seizure Team" to "Delinquent Vehicle Management Team" and the Resource Circulation Division's "Cleaning Administration Team" to "Cleaning Hygiene Team," completing facility construction and personnel allocation last month.
Seongjanghyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "We reorganized some teams to mark the 2nd anniversary of the 7th local government administration," adding, "We will further accelerate key projects such as youth policy."
