[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Actress Han Ye-seul shared her thoughts on the question, "What if I become a mom?"
On the 29th, a video titled "Ye-seul's Day" was posted on Han Ye-seul's personal YouTube channel, "Han Ye-seul is."
In the video, while drinking coffee at a cafe, Han Ye-seul mentioned her future children and said, "I want to be a cool, stylish, and hip older sister in the world, but won't there come a day when my kids say, 'Mom, you're so embarrassing,' or 'Please don't come to school,' and treat me like that?"
Han Ye-seul said, "In foreign countries, people have a lot of physical affection with their children, but in our country, there seems to be little physical affection. Even when watching foreign TV shows, physical affection among family members is natural, lovely, and pleasant to see. And they take it for granted," adding, "In the past, when our mom and dad tried to kiss, we felt embarrassed because our friends were around. I really envy that kind of culture abroad."
She continued, "When I have a baby later, I will show a lot of physical affection. I will hug, kiss in front of friends, and make a big fuss. Isn't making your kids a little embarrassed the fun of being a parent? I want to push the limits of embarrassment."
Han Ye-seul also spoke about parenting, saying, "I love babies so much, but raising them is the problem. I'm too busy. Can I raise a baby well while doing the work I do now? If so, my husband will have to help a lot, right?"
