'Peninsula' Strong Pre-Sales... Establishing a Foundation for Screening in 185 Countries Movie 'Peninsula' Still Cut

This year’s official selection at the Cannes International Film Festival, "Bando," has paved the way for screening in 185 countries overseas.

Distributor New reported on the 30th that the film has been pre-sold to distributors responsible for countries in Asia as well as Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania. The release dates have also been confirmed for Taiwan and Hong Kong (both July 15) and Malaysia (July 16).

Content Panda, in charge of overseas distribution rights, stated, “Interest from buyers has been continuous even before the Cannes International Film Festival invitation,” adding, “We expect a complete sell-out worldwide in the future.” They also said, “Starting with major Asian countries where the release coincides with the domestic release, we plan to meet audiences around the world sequentially.”

"Bando" is an action blockbuster depicting the struggle of survivors in South Korea, which has become a wasteland due to a zombie outbreak. Directed by Yeon Sang-ho, who also directed "Train to Busan," the film stars Kang Dong-won, Lee Jung-hyun, Kwon Hae-hyo, Kim Min-jae, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Do-yoon, and Lee Re. It will be released domestically on July 15.
