[Golf Topic] English Player Tests Positive for 'COVID-19'... "5th Case on PGA Tour"

[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] ○…An additional COVID-19 positive case has been reported in the U.S. Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) Tour.

On the 30th (Korean time), the PGA Tour announced on its website, "Harris English (USA, photo) tested positive for COVID-19 in the test conducted ahead of the Rocket Mortgage Classic starting on July 2." English did not participate in the Travelers Championship held last week in Cromwell, Connecticut. He said, "I felt healthy, so I am disappointed to hear this news," and added, "I will return to the tour after full recovery."

English debuted on the PGA Tour in 2013 and has won two tournaments in total. Although no COVID-19 positive cases were reported at the Charles Schwab Challenge, the first tournament after the season resumed following the COVID-19 suspension, starting with Nick Watney (USA) at the RBC Heritage, Cameron Champ, Danny McCarthy (both USA), and Dylan Frittelli (South Africa) tested positive at the Travelers Championship. So far, a total of five players have tested positive.
