[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Kyum-soo) held a donation ceremony worth 10 million KRW for children from low-income families on the 22nd at Gangbuk-gu Office with Kyungsung REITs (CEO Chae Chang-il).


Kyungsung REITs is the construction company for Seoul's social housing projects "Haengboki Oljip" and "Geongangi Oljip" being built in Mia-dong, Gangbuk-gu to ensure residents' housing stability. To commemorate the groundbreaking of the social housing, the company decided to support children from low-income families in Gangbuk-gu through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. The donation consists of 880kg of rice wreaths collected for the groundbreaking ceremony and 7.5 million KRW in cash personally donated by CEO Chae Chang-il.


Chae Chang-il, CEO of Kyungsung REITs, stated, "We will build 'Haengboki Oljip' and 'Geongangi Oljip' well to find ways for people to have more stable housing lives," and added, "Furthermore, we will strive to revitalize the local community and supply positive energy to the local society."


At the event, Park Kyum-soo, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, "We deeply appreciate the support for local residents struggling due to COVID-19," and added, "Gangbuk-gu will also do its best to create a welfare city where no neighbors are left behind and everyone is happy."
