[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Nuclear Safety and Security Commission announced on the 26th that it has decided to relocate the pressure gauges to strengthen the safety management of the reactor at Kori Unit 2.
Accordingly, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power plans to move the pressure gauges, which were previously located in a non-radiation control area, to a radiation control area, and also change the location of the reactor penetration part.
At the 122nd meeting held that day, the Commission reviewed and approved the "Operation and Business Change Permit for Nuclear Utilization Facilities" containing these details.
During the meeting, the Commission also processed the "Partial Amendment to the Enforcement Decree and Enforcement Rules of the Nuclear Safety Act," which allows the submission of nuclear-related license applications online.
