On the 23rd (Korean time), Djokovic's team announced on his official website, "After arriving in Belgrade, Serbia, and undergoing a COVID-19 test, the result came back positive."
Recently, Djokovic organized a mini tour called the 'Adria Tour' during the suspension of the ATP Tour due to COVID-19. The first tournament was held over two days starting on the 13th in Belgrade, Serbia. The second tournament took place over two days starting on the 20th in Zadar, Croatia.
However, on the last day of the second tournament, the 21st, Grigor Dimitrov (29, Bulgaria), Borna ?ori? (24, Croatia), and Viktor Troicki (34, Serbia) consecutively tested positive for COVID-19.
In addition to them, Djokovic's wife and trainer, Dimitrov's coach, and Troicki's wife also tested positive for COVID-19. As of the 24th, a total of eight people related to this tournament have been confirmed positive for COVID-19.
Earlier, before the start of the second tournament, Djokovic was reported to have played basketball with Dimitrov and others, raising concerns about Djokovic's possible COVID-19 infection after Dimitrov tested positive on the 21st.
Moreover, thousands of spectators attended the 'Adria Tour,' and it was confirmed that most of them were not wearing masks.
