CareLabs 'Goodoc' Receives Ministerial Commendation for Contributions to Information Culture Month 2020

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] CareLabs' Goodoc, the No.1 non-face-to-face medical service platform in Korea, received the Minister of Science and ICT Award for Meritorious Service during the 2020 Information Culture Month.

At the awards ceremony held on the 22nd, which was scaled down to a small gathering to comply with COVID-19 response guidelines, a total of 53 individuals and 16 organizations contributing to the development of national information culture were honored, including the CareLabs Goodoc division.

The CareLabs Goodoc division was recognized for its achievements in providing specialized services targeting medical institutions such as hospitals and pharmacies, which require the highest caution, in line with the government’s response guidelines focused on ‘social distancing.’ Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Korea in January, Goodoc has offered numerous services including the COVID Scanner service that provides confirmed patient movement paths, the Mask Scanner that enables real-time mobile mask inventory checks, remote medical consultations, and overseas travel history inquiries, contributing to alleviating social anxiety and enhancing convenience. Additionally, the award was also given in recognition of Goodoc’s efforts to share its platform development expertise overseas, thereby elevating the nation’s K-quarantine status.

Park Kyung-deuk, CEO of CareLabs, stated, “Goodoc, which has established itself as the No.1 non-face-to-face medical service platform in Korea today, continues to expand user-centered social digital services utilizing data. Since the various non-face-to-face services specialized for medical institutions have led to positive outcomes such as this award, we will continue to focus on expanding convenient user-centered services.”

CareLabs focuses on digital marketing businesses, operating the non-face-to-face medical service platform Goodoc and the plastic surgery and beauty care specialized platform Babitok. In particular, the Goodoc service, which was honored with the ministerial award, has recently surpassed 10 million users for medical reception, maintaining rapid growth.

The government award for meritorious service during Information Culture Month, held since 1997, is now in its 33rd year and aims to discover and recognize individuals and organizations who have contributed to the realization of a digital inclusive society and the promotion of information culture in Korea.
