Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station Launches Drunk Driving Prevention Campaign


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju (Chief Park Seok-il) announced on the 22nd that it recently conducted a drunk driving prevention campaign called ‘Wise Driving Life’ at the Yeonggwangtong Intersection in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City during the evening commute.


This campaign was jointly carried out by the Traffic Safety Division of Gwangsan Police Station, Gwangsan-gu Integrated Addiction Management Support Center (Director Kim Han-seok), Gwangsan-gu Public Health Center (Director Kim Ok-hyun), and Usan Health Life Support Center.


The 7th class of the university student volunteer group ‘Addiction Prevention Supporters’ directly created drunk driving warning signs and drunk driving prevention banners, and distributed promotional materials prepared together to raise awareness about drunk driving.


A representative of Gwangsan Police Station said, “By conducting the campaign during commuting hours, we aim to establish a proper drinking culture among more citizens and work together to solve social problems caused by drunk driving.”
