[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will conduct the "2020 2nd Elementary, Middle, and High School Equivalency Exams" on August 22.
Applications will be accepted from the 25 education support offices in the province from July 13 to 17. Online applications can be submitted through the NEIS public service (http://kged.goe.go.kr) from July 13 to 16.
The exam subjects for the elementary level include four mandatory subjects: Korean, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science, and two elective subjects chosen from Ethics, Physical Education, Music, Art, Practical Arts, and English. For the middle school level, there are five mandatory subjects: Korean, Mathematics, English, Social Studies, and Science, and one elective subject chosen from Ethics, Technology & Home Economics, Physical Education, Music, and Art. For the high school level, the six middle school subjects are included with the addition of Korean History.

The exam locations will be announced on August 7, and the list of successful candidates will be posted on September 11 on the Gyeonggi Office of Education website (www.goe.go.kr).

Especially for on-site applications, please wear a personal mask before visiting and actively cooperate with the staff at the application desk."
