[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jeong-ho] Actress Lee Yu-ri revealed behind-the-scenes stories about her movie casting.
On the afternoon of the 20th, JTBC variety show 'Knowing Bros' aired a segment featuring Lee Yu-ri sharing the casting backstory.
That day, Lee Yu-ri and traditional Korean musician Lee Bong-geun appeared wearing hanbok school uniforms, drawing attention.
Upon seeing Lee Bong-geun, the members asked Lee Soo-geun, "Are you family?" and Kim Hee-chul joked, "He also gives off a Song Seung-heon vibe," causing laughter.
Kang Ho-dong described Lee Bong-geun as "a leading figure who changes the world through sound." Hearing this, Lee Bong-geun revealed, "I filmed a movie called 'Soriggun'."
Next to him, Lee Yu-ri said, "Bong-geun did everything. It's Bong-geun's story. I just play the wife who gets kidnapped," making those around her burst into laughter.
Kang Ho-dong, who had looked up the movie 'Soriggun' in advance, mentioned "Director Jo Jung-rae," referring to the novelist director Jo, which earned him a scolding from other members.
Lee Yu-ri explained her connection with Director Jo, saying, "He is the one who directed 'The Attorney.' He once cast me in a kind role. After seeing that, he chose me for this role. This role is very kind, even portrayed innocently."
Additionally, she shared, "Everyone involved in the movie opposed it. The director persuaded the staff for a year to make it happen," revealing the casting backstory and arousing curiosity.
Meanwhile, 'Knowing Bros' airs every Saturday at 9 PM.
