[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the afternoon of the 20th, the first episode of the tvN drama 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay' introduced Kim Soohyun, who works as a caregiver in a psychiatric ward, and his older brother Oh Jungse, who has autism, for the first time.
On this day, Moon Kangtae (Kim Soohyun) was called to Moon Sangtae's (Oh Jungse) vocational school and advised to transfer his brother to a special school or local welfare center due to safety concerns. Moon Sangtae, who has Level 3 developmental disability and high-functioning autism (HFA), muttered "I'm angry" when his eyes met Kangtae's outside the door.
Moon Kangtae packed all the belongings from Sangtae's locker. Nearby, Sangtae anxiously looked around, watching Kangtae's reaction. However, Kangtae smiled at Sangtae and gently said, "Hyung, aren't you hungry?"
Kangtae said to Sangtae, "When we move later, I'll find a better place. Promise," while extending his pinky finger, then tried to comfort him by saying, "You must have been very upset..." But Sangtae said, "Jjamppong. Sweet and sour pork, sauce on the side," making Kangtae laugh.
tvN's new drama 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay,' Kim Soohyun's first work after returning from military service, airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM.
