[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the afternoon of the 20th, Kim Hojung, who appeared for the first time on KBS2's 'Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend,' won the final victory.

That day's broadcast was themed '2020 First Half's Hit Songs Special.' The special stage featured N.Flying, Jung Dongha, Kim Hojung, Seo Jae, and Jo Myungseop competing in a dazzling showdown.

The first performance was by N.Flying. They rearranged Cool's original song 'Aloha,' sung by Jo Jungseok who appeared in 'Hospital Playlist,' to give a refreshing feeling like "twenty-somethings going on a trip."

The second stage was Jung Dongha. He chose Zico's 'Any Song,' which had charted on the Billboard World Digital Song chart. Jung Dongha explained his choice, saying, "These days, we live in an era where it's not easy to express uncontrollable excitement. Even if it's not the 'Any Song' challenge, I hope many people discover play cultures they can enjoy together."

The battle between N.Flying and Jung Dongha ended with N.Flying taking the win.

The third stage was Kim Hojung. Kim Hojung delivered a heartfelt performance of Kim Mokkyung's 'The Story of a 60-Year-Old Couple,' which Im Youngwoong had sung and received great attention in the first half of 2020. The judging panel awarded Kim Hojung a win for his soulful song.

On the fourth stage, Seo Jae selected Jin Sung's 'At Andong Station.' Although it was a stage with powerful high notes, this round also ended with Kim Hojung's victory.

The fifth performance was by K-Tigers Zero. K-Tigers Zero presented Hong Jinyoung's 'Thumbs Up,' the most frequently used election campaign song in history, followed by Rain's 'Gang,' which has recently been rapidly climbing the charts again. Despite their distinctive flashy performance, K-Tigers Zero unfortunately lost, allowing Kim Hojung to continue his three consecutive wins.

The final stage was Jo Myungseop's. Jo Myungseop chose Yang Hee-eun's 'Sangnok-su' and performed with his younger sister as a secret weapon. Jo Myungseop passionately sang the newly rearranged 2020 version of 'Sangnok-su,' conveying heartfelt support for medical staff and citizens exhausted by COVID-19.

The final victory of the '2020 First Half's Hit Songs Special' went to Kim Hojung, who achieved four consecutive wins. Kim Hojung earned the honor of winning in his very first appearance with four consecutive victories. He expressed his overwhelming feelings, saying, "I think this will be a precious memory."
