On the 19th, Woo Jiyoon stated on her Instagram, "'Dodo' was worked on in 2019, and some parts of it were posted on Instagram. The remaining parts became the main sections." She added, "'Island' is also a song for which the guide vocal for the first verse was completed last summer. There are no parts other than the current and the instrumental."
Earlier, on the 18th, Woo Jiyoon released a new album titled 'O:circle' under her new stage name Natsseonai on various online music platforms. The album includes two tracks: the title song 'Island' and the intro 'Dodo.'
Subsequently, some netizens raised suspicions that parts of the lyrics in Woo Jiyoon's new songs 'Dodo' and 'Island' might be targeting Ahn Jiyoung.
In 'Dodo,' lyrics such as "Constantly wanting and greedy, side out between reason (Side out), you keep pushing me away, set point (Set point), you steal it as it is, tryna gaslighting (Tryna Gaslighting), I am the nightmare, I am selfish until the end, I rationalize myself saying tomorrow comes for you, blooming flowers, I worry, I am glad for you, I am leaving" became controversial.
In 'Island,' the lyric "Blank, whether you fill the empty space or not, I don't care" reignited the discord rumors with Ahn Jiyoung. This is because the first track on Bolbbalgan4's new album, released after Woo Jiyoon left the team and led by Ahn Jiyoung, was titled "Please Fill in the Blank."
