Driven by the Expansion of Digital Work Environment Construction and High Growth in Cloud Business
On the 22nd (Monday), Namoo Technology announced that it will strengthen virtualization and cloud services in response to the post-COVID-19 era.
According to the industry, due to COVID-19, companies and institutions have shifted to smart work systems such as video conferencing and regular telecommuting/remote work. As a result, the demand for digital work environment solutions based on desktop virtualization (VDI), which centrally manage major PC data and applications on central servers while fundamentally preventing data leakage, is rapidly increasing.
Digital work environments with excellent security and cloud computing technology that stores and processes data as needed have become essential elements that ensure business continuity under normal conditions even during emergencies such as pandemics and sudden disasters.
Namoo Technology is strengthening its VDI and cloud solution portfolio based on the technology and know-how acquired during the digital transformation and telecommuting solution adoption processes of companies.
A company representative stated, “Recently, we signed an enterprise telecommuting solution license contract for more than 2,000 users with a leading global corporation,” adding, “It is interpreted that more companies are adopting desktop virtualization (VDI) to complement the limitations of VPN methods that allow external access to internal networks, due to the high security policies of large corporations and financial institutions.”
The enterprise telecommuting solution integrates various functions such as digital work environments, user/administrator portals, infrastructure VM installation automation, monitoring, backup, log analysis, and data transmission?all in one product?enhancing manageability and convenience to meet corporate requirements.
Namoo Technology is focusing on the cloud-based Desktop as a Service (DaaS) market. DaaS is a technology that implements PC environments in the cloud without concerns about PCs, operating systems (OS), or server construction, enabling rapid deployment of VDI-based telecommuting environments.
By using public clouds instead of on-premises infrastructure environments, the time and cost required to purchase and build hardware can be drastically reduced. This enables business continuity in emergency situations.
Namoo Technology CEO Jeong Cheol said, “In preparation for the post-COVID-19 era, demand for untact and cloud solutions is spreading mainly among financial institutions, including large corporations,” adding, “Following the order from Shinhan Bank, a first-tier financial institution, for our cloud platform Cocktail Cloud, we expect additional orders as we conduct PaaS platform consulting for a second-tier financial institution credit card company.”
