[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Since Woo Ji-yoon (24) left 'Bolbbalgan4,' she has released a new song, raising suspicions that the lyrics might be targeting Ahn Ji-young (25), with whom she previously performed.

On the 18th, Woo Ji-yoon released a single album titled 'O:circle' under the stage name 'Natsseon Ai' (Strange Child). Woo Ji-yoon previously performed as the main vocalist 'AVOR' in the group 'Natsseon Ai' in 2017.

Some netizens claim that two songs, 'Dodo' and 'Seom,' included in Woo Ji-yoon's new album 'O:circle,' contain lyrics that seem to target Ahn Ji-young, who was active with her, sparking controversy.

In the track 'Dodo,' for which Woo Ji-yoon participated in lyrics, composition, and arrangement, the lyrics include lines such as "Greed, reason, Side Out. You push me away and then steal the Set Point as it is. I am the nightmare. I am until the end. I am selfish. Tomorrow comes for you, blooming the flower of self-justification. I worry about you. I am relieved because of you."

Another track, 'Seom,' contains the lyrics "Blank. Whether you fill the blank or not, I don't care," which further fueled the controversy.

During their time as 'Bolbbalgan4,' the group faced multiple difficulties due to rumors of discord between Woo Ji-yoon and Ahn Ji-young. There were criticisms that the team's focus was excessively on Ahn Ji-young, along with rumors that Woo Ji-yoon was treated unfairly.

In response, Ahn Ji-young appeared on MBC's variety show 'Radio Star' on the 14th of last month, after Woo Ji-yoon's departure, to directly address the rumors of discord. Ahn Ji-young said, "Woo Ji-yoon and I have been together for four years since debut. She often said she wanted to rest after running so hard."

She added, "We are making a good choice, but it is upsetting and frustrating that people create a pitiful image and make unfounded speculations. We are not on bad terms, nor was Woo Ji-yoon treated unfairly. We are getting along well."

Earlier, Woo Ji-yoon left the group 'Bolbbalgan4' on April 2. At that time, the agency Shopar Music stated, "Member Ji-yoon expressed her intention to conclude activities as Bolbbalgan4 due to personal concerns about her future career path."
