Pohang City Offers 50% Discount on Rural Experience Village Activities and Accommodation Fees

Free for Daegu and Gyeongbuk Medical Staff Until September 15... Advance Reservation Required

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Pohang City, Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 19th that it will temporarily reduce the experience and accommodation fees by half at four rural experience and recreation villages in the area to revitalize rural tourism facilities that have been stagnant due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Medical staff from Daegu and Gyeongbuk can use the rural experience and accommodation facilities free of charge until September 15. From July 1 to the end of November, a 50% discount will be offered to all citizens nationwide for five months.

The participating villages in this event?Gyeongje Bongjwa Village, Janggi Bongsan Village, Jukjang Dumasan Village, and Janggi Changbau Village?offer camping, water play, forest experiences, and other healing programs.

Information about Gyeongbuk rural tourism facilities can be found through the Daum Cafe or the Gyeongbuk Rural Experience and Recreation Village app. Discounts are only applied through advance reservations before use.

Kim Geuk-han, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "We want to provide medical staff exhausted from COVID-19 and Pohang citizens with time for healing and recovery in the countryside to help overcome their tiring daily lives," adding, "We will actively support and prepare various measures to revitalize rural tourism, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19."
