Visit reception until the 30th at Jungnang-gu Office and 7 Woori Bank branches in the area, with a 10-day rotation system applied... Cash support of 700,000 KRW per month for 2 months for small business owners
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is conducting on-site registration for the 'Seoul City Self-Employed Survival Fund,' which provides 1.4 million KRW in cash support to small self-employed business owners struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), until the 30th.
The registration target is expected to be 24,790 small self-employed business owners in Jungnang-gu with annual sales under 200 million KRW last year and who have been registered as business owners for more than six months as of the end of February this year.
Applicants can register by submitting the required documents at the multipurpose conference room on the 4th floor of Jungnang-gu Office or at any of the seven Woori Bank branches within Jungnang-gu. However, entertainment businesses and gambling establishments are excluded.
To facilitate smooth registration, a 10-day rotation system based on the last digit of the birth year is applied. Starting with those whose birth year ends in 0 on the 15th, those with '1' on the 16th, '5' on the 22nd, and '9' on the 26th can apply only on those respective days. On the 29th and 30th, anyone can apply regardless of the last digit.
At the district office, registration is available on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and at Woori Bank, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, regardless of whether the applicant is a Woori Bank customer.
The support fund will be paid in two installments of 700,000 KRW each.
For more details, visit the Seoul City Self-Employed Survival Fund website or the Jungnang-gu Office website, or contact the 120 Dasan Call Center or the Jungnang-gu Self-Employed Survival Fund Call Center.
Previously, online registration has been open since the 25th of last month, and as of the 16th, 20,692 people have applied. After paying the first round of 4,799 eligible applicants, payments will be made sequentially to the second round of eligible applicants.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “We will ensure safe on-site registration through measures such as installing transparent partitions and wearing masks,” and added, “Please apply within the deadline of June 30. Since the cash support can be used for fixed costs such as rent and labor costs, it will provide practical help in alleviating management difficulties for self-employed business owners.”
