SK Partners with MS to Train Artificial Intelligence Experts

[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] SK Group is building world-class artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DT) educational content. The plan is to introduce a professional certification process to nurture developers, engineers, and big data experts needed in the global market, beyond simple education.

On the 16th, SK Group announced that it has signed a partnership to strengthen strategic cooperation between the group's education platform 'mySUNI' and Microsoft's (MS) technology-related online learning platform 'Microsoft Learn' (hereinafter MS Learn) in the United States.

Through this partnership, SK Group's mySUNI will reprocess MS Learn content applicable to the job roles of SK employees and provide it to them. Since the educational content is based on technologies and services actually used by MS, it is expected to help SK employees understand and internalize the latest technology trends. Among domestic companies, SK Group is the first to adopt MS Learn for its AI and DT education.

mySUNI will also systematically cultivate experts with capabilities such as data analysis by enabling the completion of certifications related to Azure, MS's cloud computing platform, in AI and DT-related courses. Additionally, a joint mySUNI-MS curriculum including degree programs will be developed in collaboration with domestic and international universities specializing in AI and DT.

Launched in January this year, mySUNI currently operates about 640 educational contents across nine fields including AI, DT, happiness, social value, and leadership. Approximately 8,000 people access the platform daily for learning, and popular courses such as 'SKMS (SK Management System)' and 'Understanding the Pursuit of Social Value' have already been completed by more than 7,000 employees, showing strong engagement.

Cho Don-hyun, President and Chief Learning Officer (CLO) of mySUNI, stated, "The role of mySUNI is to establish itself as a platform for securing the capabilities of members to lead the group's deep change," adding, "This cooperation will serve as a foundation to enhance the competitiveness of SK employees through the high expertise possessed by MS."
