[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Actor Ryu Seung-beom (40) explained the reason why he does not cut his hair.

On the 16th, Ryu Seung-beom posted on his social network service (SNS), "Many people seem curious about why I am not cutting my hair. Let's read this book together," explaining the reason he is maintaining his long hair.

Ryu said, "'Why am I me and not you?' edited by Ryu Si-hwa. Personally, I read this book upon recommendation from Monk Beopjeong. I try to read all the books recommended by Monk Beopjeong, who gives deep comfort to my heart. Among them, 'The Little Prince' and this book are ones I want to share with many people," he said.

He added, "I heard that our people in the past cherished and valued everything passed down from their parents," explaining, "'Shinche balbu sujibumo' (One’s body and limbs are given by one’s parents). It is believed that protecting our body, mind, and spirit beautifully and healthily is 'filial piety,' and that it was considered an important duty we must fulfill," he explained.

He continued, "Let us once again become people who take good care of our health. Even down to a single strand of hair," he added.

Earlier, Ryu Seung-beom made headlines by announcing both his marriage and his girlfriend’s pregnancy at the same time.
