[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Hadong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 15th that it has decided to cooperate with the shared accommodation platform Airbnb to market contactless travel destinations in line with the new travel trends after the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Airbnb supports promotion and marketing by partnering with local governments and regional tourism marketing organizations to revitalize domestic tourism.
Hadong-gun signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) last October, and the Choi Champan House Hanok Culture Center, which opened in November, is registered and operated on the Airbnb platform.
Yoon Sang-gi, the mayor of Hadong-gun, said, "Hadong, where you can enjoy the unique leisure of rural areas and feel warm affection with people even contactlessly, is an appropriate tourist destination in the post-COVID era."
