[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Train operations have been suspended on the northbound section from Nowon Station to Danggogae Station on Seoul Subway Line 4, and Seoul Metro has deployed seven replacement buses.

The company stated, "A collision between trains occurred near Sanggye Station at around 10:43 AM on the 11th, and recovery work is currently underway. Trains heading toward Sadang are operating by turning back at Nowon Station," adding, "To provide alternative transportation for the suspended section between Nowon and Danggogae, seven buses have been deployed so that citizens can use the subway again at Danggogae Station and Nowon Station."

The bus boarding locations are across from Exit 1 at Danggogae Station and in front of Exit 2 at Nowon Station.

The accident involved a transfer train entering the Changdong Depot colliding with a train on the platform. Approximately 80 passengers on the train at the platform safely disembarked with the help of staff.

A company official said, "We are currently investigating the exact cause of the collision," and added, "All passengers evacuated on their own without injuries."
