[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 11th that it will launch the 'Homeplus Special Shinhan Card,' which significantly enhances My Homeplus point accumulation benefits in collaboration with Homeplus.
This card is a specialized card for customers who purchase goods in bulk at Homeplus stores, with the main feature being a 7% accumulation of My Homeplus points.
The benefits apply not only at Homeplus Special stores frequently visited by bulk purchasing customers such as individual business owners but also at existing Homeplus hypermarkets and the Homeplus online mall. The point accumulation limit is up to 30,000 points per month depending on the previous month's usage. Points are accumulated in bulk on the 15th of the following month for transactions made from the 1st to the end of each month.
Even when used outside of Homeplus, a 0.3% discount service is available regardless of the previous month's usage. There is no discount limit, so the discount amount increases as the usage amount increases. The annual fee is 15,000 KRW for domestic use only and 18,000 KRW for international use (Visa).
A Shinhan Card official emphasized, "We collaborated with Homeplus, our strategic partnership ally, to create a simple yet differentiated service. Since this co-branded card, which significantly enhances the accumulation rate by analyzing the purchasing tendencies of customers who buy in bulk at Homeplus, is being launched, we expect it to receive great response from customers."
