[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Urban Railway Corporation (President Yoon Jin-bo) announced on the 9th that Lim Jong-hak, manager of the corporation's civil engineering team (age 45), has passed the highest level of the civil engineering qualification exam, the 'Professional Engineer' exam.
The Civil Engineering Construction Professional Engineer certification is a qualification that allows one to perform technical tasks such as planning, research, design, analysis, construction, evaluation, supervision, and inspection of civil engineering projects based on advanced expertise and practical experience in civil engineering technology. The pass rate is around 10%.
Manager Lim Jong-hak joined the corporation in 2003 as part of the first public recruitment class and specialized in maintenance work in the civil engineering track field. He began preparing for the exam last year and achieved success within one year.
With Manager Lim's acquisition of the Professional Engineer certification, the corporation now holds a total of nine Professional Engineers, further enhancing the expertise in technical tasks across various urban railway fields such as electrical, signaling, architecture, and civil engineering.
Manager Lim Jong-hak said, "Thanks to the consideration of my colleagues and the corporation's professional personnel development system, I was able to prepare for the exam by making time whenever possible.
