[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is operating a 'Prototype Production Center' that instantly solves the prototype production concerns of small and venture companies and prospective entrepreneurs in the province.

The Gyeonggi Economic Science Agency announced on the 8th that it has established and started operating prototype production centers in a total of seven locations, including six Gyeonggi Venture Startup Support Centers in the province such as Goyang, and the Ansan Station-G startup space.

The prototype production centers are equipped with various equipment for prototype production, including ▲3D printers (entry-level, industrial) ▲laser cutters ▲3D scanners ▲various tools, as well as a photo studio where completed prototypes can be photographed.

The equipment usage fee is 'free,' and only material costs need to be borne.

Usage requires signing up as a member on the Gyeonggi Economic Science Agency's '3D Printing Integrated Center' website (www.3dgc.re.kr) and making an online reservation.

Kim Ki-jun, director of the Gyeonggi Economic Science Agency, emphasized, "The prototype production center, where prototypes can be freely made, is very useful for both entrepreneurs and companies preparing for product development," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that ideas can be developed into marketable products, including additionally establishing a prototype production center at the Anyang Venture Center within this year."
