[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the afternoon of the 6th, Na Taeju won the final victory in the trot rising star special of KBS2's 'Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend.'

That day, 'Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend' was themed as the 'Trot Rising Star' special. No Jihoon, Ryu Jikwang, Go Jaegun, Kim Suchan, Mr.T, and Na Taeju took the stage.

The first stage was No Jihoon's "I Wish It Were Like That Now." No Jihoon explained his song choice by saying that when he appeared on an audition program, Cho Yongpil told him, "You sing well."

The next stage was Ryu Jikwang's "Foggy Jangchungdan Park." Ryu Jikwang chose Baeho's song because it suited his voice well, expressing confidence by saying, "I will show you the emotion that the mid-low tone brings." In the competition between No Jihoon and Ryu Jikwang, Ryu Jikwang earned his first win.

The next stage was Go Jaegun of Y2K. He revealed that he challenged trot as an event to do something for fans on the 20th anniversary, confessing that he felt pressured by the saying, "If you do trot, you can never do rock again." He especially added, "This is my third appearance, but I still haven't won once, so I desperately want a win." He chose Jo Hangjo's "Finding Love, Finding Life."

However, Go Jaegun lost to Ryu Jikwang and could not get the win he wanted, making Ryu Jikwang's wins total two.

The fourth stage was Kim Suchan. Kim Suchan said, "It's been 8 years since my debut, but I was still called a rising star, a rising dawn. Just as I was about to break through the atmosphere, I met a good program and got to appear on 'Immortal Songs.'" He chose Namjin's "Nest" and dominated the stage with splendid manners.

Eventually, Kim Suchan, whom Na Taeju praised as "That kind of stage is number one in Korea," defeated Ryu Jikwang to take his first win.

The fifth was Mr.T (Lee Daewon, Kang Taegwan, Kim Kyungmin, Hwang Yunseong), who chose Yoon Suil's "Enchanting Confession" and performed on stage. Kang Taegwan, who has done pansori for 20 years, Hwang Yunseong, who debuted as a member of the boy group Romeo, Lee Daewon, a singer who debuted as an idol 11 years ago, and Kim Kyungmin, who has been on the trot path since high school, formed Mr.T through hard work and attracted more attention as a fresh group.

However, they lost to Kim Suchan, whom they themselves had named as the "number one target to watch."

The final stage was Na Taeju. Choosing Jang Yoonjeong's "Jang Yoonjeong Twist," Na Taeju, known to be very close with Kim Suchan, expressed a strong will to win by saying, "Today, I will cut ties and run no matter what. Even if I have to step on Suchan." Especially, he appeared barefoot on stage, thrilling the judges with refreshing kicks and lively performance.

As a result, Na Taeju defeated Kim Suchan and won the final victory in the 'Trot Rising Star' special.

KBS2's music entertainment program 'Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend' airs every Saturday at 6:05 PM.
