[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] The Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 6th that they apprehended a man in his 40s, Mr. A, who had left his 2-week self-quarantine location without permission, and handed him over to health authorities two days later.
Mr. A entered the country from abroad on the 23rd of last month and was instructed to self-quarantine for two weeks, but he left his residence without permission on the 4th.
The Dalseo-gu Public Health Center confirmed this fact and requested the police to track the location of the self-quarantine subject at around 4:48 PM on the 4th.
Upon receiving the report, the police began locating Mr. A and confirmed at around 2 PM that day that he was at the Jeongan Chestnut Rest Area on the Nonsan-Cheonan Expressway in Gongju-si, Chungnam, and apprehended him.
