[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Two worshippers who attended a service at Keunnamu Church located in Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province, have tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Yongin City on the 6th, a woman in her 50s, Ms. A, and a man in his 50s, Mr. B, both residing in Suji-gu, were confirmed to have COVID-19.
It was confirmed that Ms. A attended a service at Keunnamu Church from 10:50 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the 31st of last month together with a man in his 30s, the 32nd COVID-19 confirmed case in Hwaseong City. Ms. A showed symptoms such as fever, cough, and muscle pain starting from the 4th, and tested positive following a specimen test the next day. Her spouse and son tested negative.
Health authorities transferred Ms. A to Anseong Hospital of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center and conducted disinfection work at her residence and other related locations.
Mr. B was also found to have attended the service at Keunnamu Church at the same time as Ms. A. He showed symptoms of a sore throat on the 5th and tested positive for COVID-19 on the 6th after undergoing testing. COVID-19 tests are currently underway for Mr. B’s wife and five children.
With Ms. A and Mr. B confirmed positive, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Yongin has risen to 80.
