[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Actor Kang Ha-neul won the Best Male and Female Acting Award in the TV category at the 2020 '56th Baeksang Arts Awards.'

At the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards held on the 5th at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do, Kang Ha-neul of 'When the Camellia Blooms' received the honor of Best Acting Award in the TV category.

This year's nominees for Best Male Acting Award in the TV category included Kang Ha-neul of 'When the Camellia Blooms,' Namgoong Min of 'Stove League,' Park Seo-joon of 'Itaewon Class,' Joo Ji-hoon of 'Hyena,' and Hyun Bin of 'Crash Landing on You.'

When Kang Ha-neul was announced as the winner, he mentioned the fellow nominees, saying, "I grew up watching the works of senior actors Hyun Bin, Namgoong Min, and Joo Ji-hoon. Also, (Park) Seo-joon hyung was a pillar of support."

He continued, "I am not better than the seniors in anything, and I feel sorry to receive the award that senior Lee Byung-hun, who has been in the industry for 30 years this year, received. I am very grateful."

He added, "Thank you to the staff who made 'When the Camellia Blooms.' Awards feel good but also shake the heart. I will take good care of my mind and become a good person before becoming a good actor."
