[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The prosecution, investigating allegations of improper accounting by the Justice and Memory Foundation (Jeonguiyeondae), conducted a search and seizure at the shelter in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, which was operated by Jeonguiyeondae, on the 5th.

The Criminal Division 4 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Choi Ji-seok) sent investigators to the shelter for former Japanese military comfort women, "House Where Peace and Healing Meet," located in Anseong City, Gyeonggi Province, operated by Jeonguiyeondae, to secure materials related to the shelter's operation.

Additionally, it was reported that the prosecution executed a search warrant at the office of the construction company that built the Anseong shelter. The Anseong shelter is under suspicion for being "purchased at an inflated price" and "sold at a low price" by Jeonguiyeondae.

The cases currently under investigation related to Jeonguiyeondae, its predecessor Jeongdaehyeop, and Yoon Mee-hyang, a member of the Democratic Party and former chairperson of Jeonguiyeondae, amount to more than ten. Various civic groups have consecutively filed complaints with the prosecution, raising allegations of poor accounting and misuse of donations by Jeonguiyeondae.
