Hurim Robot Launches Korea's First Mask Production Facility 'One-Stop Total Solution'

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Hurim Robot announced on the 5th that it will launch the industry's first 'one-stop total solution' encompassing the entire mask industry, based on its self-developed automated mask production equipment.

Hurim Robot plans to provide domestically produced automated mask production equipment by applying the automation equipment know-how accumulated over the past 20 years while supplying industrial robots and automation equipment mainly for semiconductors and displays. Hurim Robot's automation equipment can operate continuously for 20 hours a day and produce 60 masks per minute.

In particular, it plans to offer differentiated services from Chinese equipment, which has not been properly quality assured. For the first time in Korea, it will provide one year of free defect repair and on-site response service within three days in case of breakdowns for mask production equipment.

Starting with the launch of the total solution, Hurim Robot will also provide consulting services related to high-quality mask production. Through this, mask manufacturers are expected to produce high-quality masks such as health-use 'KF94' masks and droplet-blocking masks within a short period by smoothly handling factory establishment and certification processes. In addition, by utilizing existing overseas distribution channels, it plans not only to distribute raw materials for masks, which many companies currently face supply difficulties with, but also to directly produce high-quality masks using functional materials.

A Hurim Robot official said, “Hurim Robot's automated mask production equipment will be unveiled in June,” adding, “The '3-layer folding mask production equipment' capable of producing KF94 masks can be installed from mid-June, and flat-type automated mask equipment for producing droplet-blocking masks such as dental masks and surgical masks is also planned to be released within June. We are currently accelerating the final development work.” He continued, “We hope that the one-stop total solution, based on Hurim Robot's automated production equipment technology, will improve the domestic small-scale mask industry environment and serve as a foothold for advancing into overseas markets in the future.”
