The open mayor's office in Jinan County was established to promote a trusted county administration by providing one-stop civil service for complaints that can be resolved immediately on-site, as opportunities to hear the voices of residents were significantly reduced due to COVID-19 that occurred in February this year.
The open mayor's office is held on the second and fourth Mondays of every month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Civil Service Department on the first floor of Jinan County Office. It is open to all residents, and any resident who has suggestions, requests, or proposals can participate and consult directly with the mayor.
Complaints that cannot be resolved immediately during the consultation will be handled through on-site inspections by the relevant departments, and the processing status and procedures will be promptly informed to the complainants to resolve residents' difficulties as much as possible.
Jinan County plans not only to handle residents' complaints through the operation of the open mayor's office but also to actively collect various opinions from residents for community development and utilize them as county policies or measures.
