Yeosu-si to Recruit 165 College Students for Summer Vacation Administrative Internships

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu City (Mayor Kwon Oh-bong) announced that it will recruit 165 university student administrative interns for the summer vacation from the 16th to the 17th for two days.

The working period is from July 1 to 31, working 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. The work allowance applies Yeosu City's living wage, which is 66,150 KRW per day, and 1,786,050 KRW for full attendance.

If selected as an intern, they will be assigned to city-affiliated institutions such as City Hall, Health Center, and Community Service Centers, as well as public institutions like post offices, tax offices, and local children's centers to support administration.

Eligibility to apply requires being a university student or on leave of absence registered as a resident in Yeosu City as of the 16th. However, graduate students, cyber university and broadcasting communication university students, lifelong education center students, and previous participants cannot apply.

The city will select 165 planned personnel by separate public lottery for 56 priority candidates, 90 general candidates, and 19 applicants from island and remote areas.

Priority selection targets include basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, persons with disabilities, single-parent families, national merit recipients, and children from families with three or more children.

Document submission can be done by visiting the 3rd floor, 2nd lecture room of Jinnam Sports Center Lifelong Learning Center in person or by applying via email (jaelongee@korea.kr). The selection results will be announced on the 24th, and for more details, refer to the city website or contact the Population and Job Division.

A city official said, "It will be a good opportunity for university students to experience administration during the summer vacation period," and added, "We ask for active participation."

Meanwhile, Yeosu City operates administrative intern programs twice a year, in summer and winter, to allow university students to experience administration during vacation periods.
