Suncheon-si, Recruiting Trainees for 2020 Agricultural Processed Food Online Marketing Training

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) is recruiting trainees to participate in the ‘2020 Agricultural Processed Food Online Marketing Training,’ which enables participants to become e-commerce experts in agricultural processed foods, until June 10.

The ‘Agricultural Processed Food Online Marketing Training’ is an e-commerce sales course that will be held from June 16 to July 9, with 8 sessions of 4 hours each day.

In this training, participants will learn various skills necessary for e-commerce, including online market operation, procedures for entering online stores and product registration, product sales page creation, operation methods for overseas open markets (Amazon), customer service (CS), and online design trends.

Additionally, consulting related to ‘Agricultural Product Online Marketing Startups’ will be provided, which is expected to assist farmers interested in online sales of agricultural products.

The city plans to nurture about 150 experts through various training courses, including this online marketing course, a basic course, technology utilizing domestic rice, and practical processing courses, totaling five classes.

Eligibility for application is open to any citizen currently residing in Suncheon City with a registered address in Suncheon as of the application date. After submitting the application, 30 people will be selected through document screening. Citizens wishing to participate can refer to the Suncheon City website bulletin board and Suncheon City Announcement No. 2020-1157, ‘Notice of Recruitment for 2020 Online Marketing Trainees for Processed Products Sales,’ to apply.

Meanwhile, Suncheon City has produced 1,094 agricultural processed food trainees up to last year, with 89 people joining and actively participating in the Suncheon Agricultural Processed Food Center Farming Association Corporation. Last year, they produced about 170 types of items and recorded sales of 218 million KRW.
