[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Go Yoo-jin, who appeared on Mnet audition program 'Produce48,' said, "I have given up on debuting as an idol."

On the 3rd, Go Yoo-jin posted on her social network service (SNS), "I am currently out of the company. I wanted to debut, but things did not go as I hoped," she said.

Go Yoo-jin explained, "It is something that requires luck and timing, and there were many unfavorable things. Mentally, it was very difficult, so I decided to stop."

She added, "I have been a trainee for a long time and worked hard, but once I felt like this life was eating me up, each day became very hard," and said, "So I gave up on my long-time dream. I am very sorry to the fans who waited for my debut, but I think I will live as a non-celebrity from now on."

She continued, "To express my gratitude to the fans who have supported and loved me, I will open YouTube and Instagram accounts to do live broadcasts and try to communicate through AfreecaTV," and said, "I plan to live by communicating with those who can like me as a non-celebrity, not an idol trainee, showing good content and things I am good at, and repaying the love I have received so far."

Previously, Go Yoo-jin appeared on 'Produce48' in 2018 as a member of Blockberry Creative.

The following is the full text of Go Yoo-jin’s Instagram post

Hello, this is Go Yoo-jin.

I am currently out of the company. I wanted to debut, but things did not go as I hoped.

It is something that requires luck and timing, and there were many unfavorable things. Mentally, it was very difficult, so I decided to stop.

I cannot explain the details about this at the moment, but I will definitely talk about it when I can later.

I have been a trainee for a long time and worked hard, but once I felt like this life was eating me up, each day became very hard.

So I gave up on my long-time dream. I am very sorry to the fans who waited for my debut, but I think I will live as a non-celebrity from now on.

And one more thing I want to say is that I never tried to deceive fans by pretending I would debut.

Due to personal circumstances, I was in a situation where I could not mention anything about the company or debut.

For me, I have been trying my best to communicate by opening YouTube and Instagram accounts, doing live broadcasts, and appearing on AfreecaTV to express my gratitude to the fans who have continuously supported and loved me. From now on, I plan to live by communicating with those who can like me as a non-celebrity, not an idol trainee, showing good content and things I am good at, and repaying the love I have received so far.

Now that I am a non-celebrity, I will not mention the current problematic situation separately.

As a person who is not a public figure, I have been hurt many times. I ask that you refrain from false information or personal attacks that are not based on facts.

If things go too far, I will have no choice but to take legal action.

Once again, I am very grateful to those who have waited for a long time, and I ask for your understanding as I could not speak about this immediately. I am sorry.
