This event is intended to promote consumption and support farmers who are facing difficulties in local sales channels due to the prolonged spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). The first event held on the 30th also received great response from citizens.
At the event site, vegetable sets consisting of 8 items (10 eggs, lotus root, new potatoes, king oyster mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, perilla leaves, new onions, cucumber peppers) will be sold, along with separately sold local products such as pickled vegetables, fruit rice cakes, and Sikhye (sweet rice drink). A free giveaway event will also be held for the first 200 customers, offering limited local agricultural specialties (chamoe melon, doenjang soybean paste, jujube).
A city official stated, "Through this event, we hope consumers can purchase fresh and healthy local agricultural products at affordable prices, and that producers who are struggling to secure sales channels will receive some support."
