Changwon Coast Guard, Establishes Cooperation for Maritime Boundary Reinforcement and Jurisdictional Safety Management


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Changwon Maritime Police have initiated efforts to strengthen the safety management cooperation system and maritime boundary enforcement in their jurisdictional waters.


According to the Changwon Maritime Police Station on the 3rd, Chief Jeong Han-wook visited the Navy 263 Radar Base to enhance coastal surveillance and mutual cooperation between the military and maritime police.


During the security site visit, Chief Jeong discussed plans for sharing unidentified vessel information linking the radar base, patrol ships, and police substations, as well as sharing the radar base's operational status and strengthening mutual cooperation systems.


Chief Jeong Han-wook stated, “As mutual cooperation between the military and maritime police in coastal surveillance is more emphasized than ever recently, we will establish an active cooperation system with the jurisdictional radar base to strengthen maritime boundary enforcement.”
