'SBS Resignation' Park Sun-young "Felt Guilty When Leaving... Didn't Leave Due to Dissatisfaction"

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Former SBS announcer Park Sun-young revealed the reason for her resignation and her feelings.

On the 3rd, Park Sun-young, who declared herself a freelancer, appeared on the 57th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' titled 'Voice.'

During the broadcast, when Yoo Jae-suk asked about the reason for her resignation, Park Sun-young confessed, "I thought about it a lot. There were many reasons, but the biggest reason was 'ambiguity.'"

Park Sun-young said, "I think I felt the most anxious when I was the most stable," adding, "When I was harvesting like this, I needed to sow seeds next to harvest again, but before I knew it, I was scraping the bottom."

She continued, "I feel apologetic saying this. It's because I left behind very happy days and squeezed out the courage left, even if it was just a fingernail's worth."

Park Sun-young further explained, "Being an announcer was truly my dream since I was young. So I was grateful, and I was really sorry when I left. I felt guilty when I left," adding, "I didn't leave because of dissatisfaction, but I thought if not now, I wouldn't be able to muster the courage."

Earlier, Park Sun-young resigned from SBS last year and declared herself a freelancer.

Meanwhile, Park Sun-young joined SBS as a public announcer of the 15th class in 2007 and served as the anchor for '8 News' from 2008 to 2014.
