Ulsan City, Senior Employment Agreement with 7 Public Institutions ... Creating Over 350 Jobs

Ulsan Seniors Experience a Boom in Job Opportunities Ulsan City Hall. Ulsan City will sign an agreement to create senior jobs with seven public institutions in the city.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City will sign a '60+ Senior Job Creation Business Agreement' with the Korea Senior Human Resources Development Institute and seven public and financial institutions at 2:30 PM on the 4th in the situation room on the 7th floor of the city hall main building.

The participating institutions are Korea East-West Power, Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, Human Resources Development Service of Korea, BNK Gyeongnam Bank, NongHyup Central Association, Ulsan Facilities Corporation, and Ulsan Urban Corporation.

Last year, Ulsan City revised the ordinance to support senior job creation, establishing a basis for the city and public institutions to actively participate in senior job projects.

Earlier, from April to May, together with the Korea Senior Human Resources Development Institute, customized job roles were developed for each institution targeting public and financial institutions.

Among the agreement-signing institutions, Korea East-West Power plans to train 'Energy Docent' personnel as senior jobs and assign them from the second half of this year to promote energy-related projects to visitors at its power plants and educational institutions in Ulsan.

Other participating institutions also plan to develop customized job roles suitable for their respective industries and assign them starting in the second half of the year.

The city expects that through this agreement, public institutions and banks will create more than 350 senior jobs over three years from 2020 to 2022.

A city official stated, “We will continue to discover senior jobs through agreements with various companies and institutions in Ulsan so that the experiences of the elderly can contribute to society.”
