LG Electronics Launches K41S and K61 in Canada
Planned Release in Europe and Asia Regions in Q2
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] LG Electronics is aiming to increase its global market share with affordable smartphones.
LG Electronics launched the LG K61 and LG K41S on the 4th through Canadian mobile carriers such as Bell and Videotron. This expands their market reach to North America following earlier releases in Latin American markets like Mexico and Brazil in May. The K61 (Korean model name LG Q61) was also released domestically at the end of last month. The devices will be introduced in major countries in Europe and Asia during the first half of the year.
The K41S and K61 are equipped with four advanced rear lenses: standard, ultra-wide, depth, and macro. They allow users to capture clear photos ranging from ultra-wide to close-up shots. Considering users who enjoy video content, both models feature large 6.5-inch displays. The screen ratios of the LG K61 and K41S are 19.5:9 and 20:9 respectively, enhancing immersion. To reduce the area occupied by the front camera, the LG K61 and K41S apply hole-in and V-notch designs respectively.
They come with a large 4000mAh battery to ensure worry-free use in multimedia environments that consume a lot of power, such as video watching and web surfing. The DTS:X 3D surround sound feature allows users to enjoy high-quality immersive audio. The devices have passed the U.S. Department of Defense military standard tests, known as 'Military Spec,' which include low and high temperature, humidity, vibration, shock, and thermal shock tests.
Jung Suheon, Vice President of LG Electronics MC Overseas Sales Group, said, "We will continue to release affordable products with essential features and price competitiveness to expand customers' choices."
