Germany's May Unemployment Rate at 6.3%... Exceeds Expectations

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunwoo Lee] Germany's unemployment rate (seasonally adjusted) for May was recorded at 6.3%, announced by the German Federal Employment Agency on the 3rd (local time). This figure is 0.5 percentage points higher than the previous month and exceeded the expected rate of 6.2%. The number of unemployed people in Germany also increased by 238,000, surpassing the expected 210,000. In April, the number of unemployed increased by 372,000.
