Kim Young-chun, Former Lawmaker, Appointed Secretary-General of the 21st National Assembly

According to political circles on the 3rd, Park Byeong-seok, a Democratic Party lawmaker who was elected as the Speaker of the National Assembly, nominated former lawmaker Kim as Secretary-General, and Kim has accepted the position.

Former lawmaker Kim served as a member of the 16th, 17th, and 20th National Assemblies and was the first Minister of Oceans and Fisheries under the Moon Jae-in administration. He ran for the Busan Jin-gap district in the April 15 general election but was defeated by Seo Byung-soo of the United Future Party.


Former Blue House political secretary Bok Ki-wang has been nominated as the Chief Secretary to the Speaker of the National Assembly. Former Secretary Bok served as a member of the 17th National Assembly and as mayor of Asan City, Chungnam Province. He ran for the Chungnam Asan-gap district in the April 15 general election but lost.
