[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 3rd that on the 2nd, President Heo In visited the Korean Red Cross located in Namsan-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, and donated 300 million KRW to the Red Cross membership fees.
The donation ceremony was attended by President Heo, Park Kyung-seo, Chairman of the Korean Red Cross, and officials from both organizations.
This donation will be used to promote various humanitarian projects targeting children, the elderly, multicultural families, domestic and international disaster victims, and North Korean defectors who are in difficult circumstances.
KB Kookmin Bank has been working with the Korean Red Cross to establish 'Love Bread Sharing Centers' in Majang-dong, Seoul; Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province; Chuncheon, Gangwon Province; and Gwangju Metropolitan City, with employees and customers regularly participating in baking volunteer activities every month.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We hope that by helping neighbors in the community who are exhausted from COVID-19 and sharing love, all Korean citizens will become happier," and added, "We hope that the donated Red Cross membership fees will help create a society full of warm compassion."
