Wave Subscription Fee Refundable with Fink Money
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Hana Card announced on the 3rd that it has launched the 'Wave Card,' which refunds up to 13,900 KRW per month of Wave subscription fees as Fink Money based on the previous month's spending.
When spending over 400,000 KRW in the previous month, users earn 7,900 KRW (Basic product) or 13,900 KRW (Premium product) of Fink Money, which can be used like cash. Additionally, if the previous month's spending exceeds 400,000 KRW, users can receive a 5% billing discount (up to 5,000 KRW per month) when paying at Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Angel-in-us, and other stores.
Customers who are already subscribing to Wave for free through SK Telecom's main plans can also accumulate the Wave subscription fee as Fink Money upon meeting the previous month's spending requirements.
The card design is also distinctive. Using a lenticular method that creates an optical illusion, the Wave ripple is implemented on the front plate of the card, and the enclosed leaflet uses a moving book-style scanimation effect.
The Wave Card allows users to check issuance, transaction history, and accumulated points all at once through the Fink app. The annual fee is 25,000 KRW for both domestic-only and domestic/international (Mastercard) versions.
