[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Hanwha Q CELLS announced on the 3rd that it has been selected as a Top Performer company for five consecutive years in the '2020 PV Module Reliability Scorecard' conducted by global solar verification organizations DNV GL and PVEL.
This evaluation is one of the most professional and influential indicators in the solar industry, and Hanwha Q CELLS has revalidated its excellent product quality and reliability through this selection.
The module reliability evaluation awards the Top Performer status to modules whose output decreases by less than 2% under extreme test conditions such as low temperature of -40℃ and high temperature of 85℃. In this year's evaluation, Hanwha Q CELLS was selected for the outstanding quality of its Q.PEAK DUO series. The Q.PEAK DUO series features Hanwha Q CELLS' proprietary Q.ANTUM cell technology, which effectively prevents various phenomena that degrade the output of solar products. In addition, it undergoes rigorous quality tests that are 2 to 3 times stricter than international standard quality criteria, providing high stability.
The product excellence of the Q.PEAK DUO series has already been proven by numerous awards. The Q.PEAK DUO series won the 'Solar Power Award 2017' presented by the UK solar media 'Solar Power Management Magazine,' which evaluates the entire solar manufacturing process. In June 2018, it was the only solar module to receive the 'Intersolar Award 2018,' which boasts the highest level of authority in the solar industry, recognizing its technology and innovation.
Kim Hee-chul, CEO of Hanwha Q CELLS, stated, "Hanwha Q CELLS holds the number one market share in advanced energy markets such as the United States, Germany, and Japan due to its high-quality standards," adding, "We will continue to contribute to customer benefit enhancement and industry development through strict quality standards and continuous research and development."
